What we do

Over the last 30 years we have repaired almost every type of popular car and truck, and have engineered repair techniques that allow us to restore these vehicles to a roadworthy condition at a low price to our customers. Our unique service has helped thousands of people get extended use out of vehicles they would have normally condemned to the junkyard.

If a vehicle has a rust problem, chances are good that this model has a repeat rust problem. Over the years, we have developed repair techniques to service the common rust problems that are specific to each type of vehicle.

We restore classic cars.

We have developed specific techniques for rebuilding the following classic vehicles: Porsche 356 and 911, Corvettes, Triumph, Datsun Z, Mustang, BMW, Mercedes, GM, and Plymouth, Dodge, and Chrysler products. In many cases, we will have a rust repair kit available to meet your needs.

We sell repair kits.

As well as doing restoration, welding, and fabrication in our shop, Auto Rust Technicians manufacturers the "Safe-T-Cap" line of rust repair kits, for do-it-yourself use. Our repair kits are used all over the world. Visit our Safe-T-Cap page for more information.

We sandblast and rustproof.

We know that the rust we encounter on daily drivers can be blamed partly on the salty New England environment, from the ocean spray to the road salt put down in the winter. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure: our rustproofing services will keep rot out from the start. Visit our sandblasting and rustproofing menu for more information.

What we do not do

We do not do collision work, repairs from accidents, paint jobs, or mechanical (engine repair) work. We do not do state inspections. When we are finished with your vehicle, the repair is rustproof and durable, and does not require additional painting to maintain its durability. We do not do cosmetic finish work. We never do any kind of painting. If you want to have your vehicle painted, it will normally require additional sanding, and it will certainly require somebody who will do it (we don't paint!).
