Wranglers have weld-nuts inside the frame rails that secure the transfer case skid plate in place. The skid plate also is the transmission and transfer case mount. Typically the bolts are a problem to remove due to rust on the inside of the frame rail. When this happens, access holes are often cut unto the side to facilitate removal of these bolts. This method gives access to dirt and water, which can collect inside the rails and rust them from the inside out. This Safe-T-Cap™ kit is a full length repair, it runs from trailing arm mount to trailing arm mount, and is approximately 41” in length.
